Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Catch, observe, and research wild Pokémon to create and fill Sinnoh's first Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus for Nintendo Switch. Pokémon Legends: Arceus retains the core gameplay of previous Pokémon games and combines it with new action and RPG elements.

You arrive in Sinnoh, where the events of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl also take place. However, this story takes place much earlier, at a time when becoming a Pokémon Trainer or organizing a Pokémon League was completely out of the question. The Pokémon that roam here may look familiar to you, but the rugged environments are likely different from what you're familiar with from Sinnoh from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.

To catch Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you can observe them to learn more about their behavior, then sneak up to them, aim and throw your Poké Ball! You can also make your own Pokémon fight against Pokémon you want to catch. Throw the Poké Ball with your own Pokémon near a wild Pokémon to start a battle. You can decide which attacks your Pokémon should perform.

At the start of your journey to create the region's first Pokédex, you can choose from Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott as your partner Pokémon. A professor has found these Pokémon on several excursions in other regions and brought them to Sinnoh.
